First trimester uterine rupture-a rare but catastrophic event: a case report

چکیده

Uterine rupture is a rare but life threatening obstetrical emergency. It often occurs at term during trail of labour rarely may occur early pregnancy in first trimester. Here, we report case 28 years, G2P1+0L0 3 months with fundal shock history previous caesarean section. Ultrasound revealed massive hemoperitoneum (2 litres) dead fetus lying outside the uterine cavity. Emergency laparotomy was performed and repair done. The differential diagnosis for includes bleeding corpus luteum, heterotropic or ectopic molar secondary invasion. possibility should also be kept mind. Prompt management important to reduce morbidity mortality.
